While the facility considered removing the original walls, it is made impossible for potential lead-based paint or asbestos under original finishes.
With a limited budget, the facility required a quick wall renovation that create a clean and hygenic environment for the elderly residents that do not have a strong immune system to get infested by bacteria. Moreover, the new walls need to be durable and easy to maintain. Adding on this, the facility hoped the renovation can interfere with daily operation as little as possible.
